Nestled in the trendy Joo Chiat enclave, this one bedroom apartment came with a small footprint and spatial limitations. This meant we had to maximise the home with plenty of storage, and to conceive a space that would be multifunctional. To achieve this, we designed joinery pieces that could potentially serve multiple functions and purposes.
We were also inspired to create a home that felt removed and transportive, despite being in a dense urban environment. This meant steering clear from a more monochromatic colour palette, and introducing as much color and warmth into the space as possible. More importantly, we wanted to design a space that was versatile - one that could function as a cosy space for two or be transformed into an inviting space for friends and hosting.
